  • Riverside Flight Center believes transparency about our program is critical for students to succeed.  Therefore, please understand the following:

Becoming a pilot involves two basic methods of training, with each involving tests and examinations:

    The Classroom Method

One method, the theory, is learned from written exams, books, lectures and other common classroom teaching techniques.  We call this method ground training, and you will experience ground training throughout your stay at RFC, and throughout your career as a pilot.  Just as some people learn differently going through primary school and secondary education, students wanting to become a pilot experience the same differences.  We find students who are motivated, with a focus and drive to study, follow the instructor’s advice and complete assignments as directed, excel at RFC.  Each student is different and will progress at different rates, which can ultimately affect course fees.

    The Experience Method

The other method, the skill, is learned from practical experience in Training Devices, one-on-one drills, and in airplanes.  We call this method flight training, and you will experience flight training in stages at RFC, after the required theory is proficient.  Just as some people learning how to ride a bicycle, drive a car, or swim learn at different rates, students learning to fly will progress differently and find some stages challenging or easy.  We find students who are motivated, focused, follow the instructor’s advice, practice on their own time, and fly regularly excel at RFC.  Each student is different and will progress at different rates, which can ultimately affect course fees.

  • Riverside Flight Center is unique in the flight training and pilot school industry.  Other schools offer flight training course costs based on per-hour flight training, allowing them to list prices based on minimum certification requirements, making their course prices attractive to unaware students.  This has a two-fold effect:  Tempting course costs with average flight instructors providing inferior training requiring high course completion times.

  • The training you receive at Riverside Flight Center is not just for a rating or certification.  You’ll use it for your entire aviation career. Graduates of Riverside Flight Center are consistently placed in top positions at airlines throughout the world.  The standards and stages of training throughout our Professional Pilot program ensure your success.  Our unblemished safety record supports our claim of quality, accelerated flight training – a claim other schools can’t make.

We are committed to providing excellent, unparalleled ground and flight training that makes you stand out among others competing at an airline interview for pilots.
